I recently uploaded version 8.0 of my SARS-CoV-2 Origin Reference Resource Project to ResearchGate, and although it’s my 8th update in the last 18 months, most of my readers probably need an introduction to it, since I haven’t really mentioned it here in over a year.

In short, it’s a free, public collection of information, links, timelines and evidence, all focused on various aspects of the ‘mystery’ of where the SARS-CoV-2 virus came from - nature or …. somewhere else.

The project started as just a published version of the list of references I found useful as I began studying the origin mystery back in May 2020; at that time, I was mostly focused on analyzing case/death and other epidemiological data from the first waves of the pandemic:

I quickly realized that if I was struggling to keep track of all of the different mysteries surrounding the origin of the pandemic, there were probably other curious individuals out there who could also benefit from having access to a living, breathing spreadsheet of resources and links.

I even came up with a hypothesis about what sort of information might be gleaned from such a project:

Having a hypothesis certainly seemed like the scientific thing to do.

Over time, I added tabs for a broad range of topics, and over the course of two years it has continued to grow in breadth and depth.

In April of 2021, I started using a color-coding system to designate which authors/papers were arguing for a natural origin or for a lab origin, and quickly realized that it made it much easier to see the censorship & narrative dynamic which had been employed to flood “the literature” with only one side of the argument:

*It’s important to point out that I’ve never added links to articles I’ve not read - one of my primary motivations has been to provide an accurate, relevant and unbiased collection of information, so that it might be useful to everyone regardless of their own personal views about where the SARS-CoV-2 virus came from. This includes ~131,000 pages of FOIA documents, which is about 85% of the total released to date.

My principles for this project:

-Provide links to all relevant sources covering each major hypothesis, regardless of my own personal leanings

-Ensure that the sources are relevant; reading each item prior to adding it to the collection means that I can provide an intelligent explanation, should anyone have questions about my editorial decisions.

-In particular, since one of my main areas of research has been scientific censorship, I feel a burden to set an example that can’t be credibly attacked for engaging in similar types of narrative control.

Speaking of narratives & biases, the chart below depicts where publishers of the 1,928 articles fall on the natural origin - lab origin spectrum [the chart and the underlying data can be found in tab 13 of the Excel workbook]:

Which also highlighted the stunning impact of Fauci’s censorship of the top scientific publications. Of the top 56 articles [20,000 or more reads], Lab-leaning articles account for 66% of the articles but only 0.6% of academic citation [378 vs. 62,857].

For those who may be wondering how I can justify linking Fauci to various editorial decisions, know that I do not do so without justification - I’ve become intimately familiar with the credentials, ties and output of scientists who’ve been working with Fauci, Jeremy Farrar and others to suppress parts of “the science:”

I couldn’t possibly introduce each of the 49 tabs in a single Substack article, but my hope is that curious readers will check it out and potentially find it useful. It’s the largest single project I’ve worked on during the pandemic, since it has been used for all of the other areas I’ve investigated, and the work of compiling it and keeping it updated is even less sexy than the 2.5 months of reading FOIA documents for several hours a day [and taking and editing hundreds of screenshots for a compilation I put together].

When I joined DRASTIC 2 years ago, I didn’t have expectations of making my own discoveries,¹ and so my focus was simply on trying to assist the effort in any way that I could. Most of the things I did ultimately discover were only found because I’d become so familiar with the research and evidence while doing the grunt-work early on.

Yes, it’s frustrating to know that our own federal government employs tens of thousands of taxpayer-funded analysts whose actual jobs include doing the research myself and others have been doing - pro bono - for more than two years. It’s also quite clear to me that this situation is unlikely to improve in the near future - which means that if we’re going to have a future worth living in, we must build it ourselves. For me, that starts with obtaining a measure of justice for the millions of victims of this pandemic, because if we can’t obtain justice for millions of dead, innocent victims, then the prospects for the rest of us aren’t very good.
