Rethinking Pandemia - A roundtable discussion with Norman Fenton, David Livermore, David Bell & Charles Rixey
My 2nd appearance on the Out of the Blank podcast
The host, Robbie Robertson, dropped the four of us into an unstructured panel where we could complain about all things COVID.
I was the outlier, as the other three panelists are all scientists from the UK, but all of us agree that everything about this pandemic was a disaster.
My fellow panelists were:
Norman Fenton - Professor of Risk Information Management, Queen Mary University of London; a mathematician and a well-known skeptic of public health practices during the pandemic.
David Livermore - former Professor of Medical Microbiology at the University of East Anglia [UK]
David Bell - Head of Malaria/AFS at the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics; also part of PANDA, a non-profit pandemic data/analysis group
You can listen to the episode via the embedded audio link below, or watch it via the Spotify app on your computer or device.
As you can see, I managed to stay busy even as I was packing.
Great discussion, we all need a bitch session every once in awhile!
Maybe I’ve been listening to you and Couey too long, but the others seem a bit behind on their understanding of the intentionality underpinning this entire affair. It’s one thing to avoid ascribing malice where there is none, but we know there is ample data and now you’ve reason to share it. Thank you for your tireless research.
