I’ve got several things to post in the next day or two, but I wanted to take a minute out of my birthday to share this article by Alex Washburne, an epidemiologist whom I was introduced to at the beginning of the year.
I cannot recommend following and supporting him enough; he is a scientist with courage and integrity - incredibly rare, as you know.
I leave you with my comment I left on his post:
“Although I was introduced to you out of the blue last winter, it only took me a few minutes to realize that your curiosity and your concern regarding the pandemic and its impacts were genuine.
Integrity and courage have been shockingly rare during the pandemic, as I know from first-hand experience. Knowing that this article is rooted in those values makes its message even more important for others to hear.
Thank you for saying what needs to be said.”
Happy birthday!
